Fingerprinting · Fieldprint
Fieldprint collects and submits fingerprints for state-required checks and federal programs, from FBI channeling to DoD SWFT, through a nationwide network of Livescan sites.
What we fingerprint for
Every fingerprint check needs a legal basis, called a permissible purpose. If a state law requires it, it goes through the state. If a federal law, agency or contract requires it, it goes through a federal route. I'll help you confirm which one applies.
State
Does a state law require fingerprints for your hires, licensees or volunteers? Fieldprint collects and submits them for the state check, which can include the FBI check the state statute authorizes.
Federal
Does a federal law, regulation or contract require a fingerprint check? Fieldprint covers the main federal routes from one network.
Common problems, direct answers
Applicants book online at a nearby Livescan site, and prints are submitted electronically for SWFT and other programs, so clearance paperwork isn't held up by a trip to a distant office.
More than 2,200 Livescan locations across all 50 states, DC, Guam, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. For a group at one location, a mobile Livescan technician can come to you.
Image quality is graded at capture, and every submission is checked before it goes out. Fieldprint's network-wide rejection rate averaged 0.21% in 2023.
The same visit can include photo and badge capture, document scanning, citizenship document review and Form I-9 Section 2, so one trip covers what used to take several.
Fingerprinting is available through GSA contract 47QSMS25D004Q, including a fingerprint-only option for agencies that need standalone services.
Fieldprint is an FBI-approved Channeler and ISO 9001:2015 certified, with site training, mystery shopping and applicant surveys keeping every location consistent.
